- About: Join the entire Cal Women's coaching staff for this Winter ID camp! There will be goalkeeper-specific coaching & training available.

YOUTH DAY CAMP INFO:
- Camp Dates | Monday-Friday * (Friday is a Half-Day)

- Ages: 6-13
- Gender: Girls
- Half-Day Hours: 9:00am - 12:00pm
- Full-Day Hours: 9:00am - 4:00pm *The last day of camp concludes at 12:00pm for all campers
- Check-in & out Locations: Witter Field (June 9-13, June 16-20)
- Meals: Lunch is NOT provided
WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEE?
- Instruction: Training from the Cal Women's Soccer team coaching staff
- Day campers: Lunch is not provided. Please bring a packed lunch.
- Supervision: Staff members are strategically placed throughout the camp to provide optimal supervision and participate in all activities
INSTRUCTION, EQUIPMENT, & FACILITY
- Ratio: Low camper to coach ratio
- Groupings: Campers are grouped by age, ability, and experience
- Equipment Needed: All campers must bring soccer cleats, shin guards, athletic shoes, and a water bottle.
- Facility:
- Youth Camp: Witter Field (June 9-13, June 16-20)
- ID Camp: Witter Field
- Medical Protocol: Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital
TEAM DISCOUNT
If you have a group of 4 or more campers registering for the same camp, each camper is eligible for a $25 discount. If you have a group of 8 or more campers registering for the same camp, each camper is eligible for a $30 discount. Please fill out the Team Discount - Soccer form with the name of your group and the names of each camper enrolling in the camp and we will create a unique discount code for your group.

Head Women's Soccer Coach - Cal Neil McGuire
Head coach Neil McGuire is entering his 15th season with the Bears in 2021. Throughout his time in Berkeley, he has led the California women’s soccer team to unprecedented success. The program’s all-time wins leader with 160 career victories at Cal, McGuire has an overall record of 160-93-32 during his tenure at Cal, good for a .618 winning percentage. McGuire has led the Bears to the NCAA Tournament in 12 of his 14 seasons in Berkeley, helping Cal to a streak of 14 consecutive tournament appearances from 2004-17, ranking among the longest streaks in all of Division I soccer.

Assistant Women's Soccer Coach - Cal Cori Callahan
Cori (Alexander) Callahan is entering her 11th season with the Bears in 2021. Since joining the women's soccer program in 2011, she has been an instrumental force, serving first as a volunteer assistant and most recently as the team's first assistant and goalkeeper coach. Callahan - who has earned her USSF "B" license - boasts more than 20 years of experience as a goalkeeper on the collegiate and professional level, and more than a decade as a goalkeeper coach.

Alec Sundly made the return to his alma mater as an assistant coach for the Cal women's soccer team in January of 2023. He enter his first season in that role.

The Cal Bear coaching staff believes in providing the opportunity for players to reach their greatest potential by challenging them technically and tactically, in a fun and encouraging environment. Our curriculum has been developed to offer successful methods for players of all ages and skill levels!
CALIFORNIA COLLEGE ID CAMPS: The ID camps are designed to give players ages 8th grade-12th grade, a day in the life experience, into what it means to be a Bear. Train like a Cal women’s soccer player! In these one-day camps, players will be challenged by sessions that replicate the same high level that our Cal players train at daily. Led by our current Cal women's soccer coaching staff and our current Cal players, campers have the opportunity to compete and showcase their skills in this unique and fun environment.
All Cal Soccer Camps are directed by Cal Women’s Soccer Head Coach Neil McGuire, Assistant/Goalkeeper Coach Cori Callahan, Assistant Coaches Alec Sundly and Rachel Mercik, and many of the current and former Cal Women’s Soccer players.

The staff live in the dormitories with the campers and participate in evening activities.
